You genuinely want to treat yourself well,
especially when life is hard, and you feel beat up and exhausted.
However, the pressure, the darkness, and the emptiness usually win.
They sap your drive, criticize you, and make you feel bad.
How can you change this?

Creating Self-Compassion

A six-week class that will help you learn and create the habits of treating yourself the way you genuinely want to treat yourself.

I invite you to learn, practice with group support, and implement the skills of caring for yourself the way you want to care for yourself.

We Tend to Feel Dissatisfied

This seems strange because most of us are surviving just fine. We have a comfortable life and family and friends that we love and love us. Yet, even with all the trappings of the modern age, we still feel unsatisfied inside.

Dissatisfaction can take the form of feeling unworthy, empty, bored with life, or simply restlessness for the next thing with the hidden hope that it’ll work permanently this time. Yet, no matter what we try, we never find the magic answer, the perfect potion, or the ability to accept ourselves without dissatisfaction clouding everything we experience.
This class will offer you some tools and skills to help you navigate the persistent, hollow, unsatisfied emotions in your body and the self-criticism that haunts your days. The key is navigating and managing your mind instead of fighting or avoiding the thoughts. This class will also help you learn the skills of compassionate mental navigation and mind management so you feel better about your days and your life.

Self-compassion comprises several skills bundled into one name. Those skills are Awareness, Acceptance, and Letting Go. Generally, they are easier to learn with the support of other people experiencing similar situations. So, together, we will begin each session with a simple mind exercise and then build some brain-wires learning from each other. We will discuss the triggers we experienced during the last week and their consequences on our life’s satisfaction. Then, I will end each session with a short talk about a new skill we can practice in the following week. The goal is to become aware of the triggers that precede the unnecessary suffering that we experience so we can use new skills to suffer less. I’ll end with a gentle daily exercise to help you practice so you can navigate each situation in your mind and daily life.
